The first agent I elected to try was wheat grass tablets. The reasoning hearkened back to my days in Houston, when a beloved pet had developed a massive tumor that was overtaking its body. The veterinarian offered to put her to sleep, but I refused. As I was leaving the office, one of his employees, who had an holistic aspect on life, suggested that I visit a particular health food store every morning to obtain freshly pressed wheat grass juice. She told me that some friends and other veterinary clients had managed to reduce the size of their pets' tumors, or even eradicate them using this natural agent. Because I loved this pet so dearly, I determined to do this religiously, and so foisted eyedroppers-ful of the juice on "Luv." I continued this regimen for about two weeks, until she ultimately died. I can't honestly say that the wheat grass juice definitely helped her condition, but if I could conclude anything at all from the experience, it was that my pet had greater quality of life toward the end. I guess that idea lodged itself somewhere in my head for future reference.
Wheat grass tablets are an easier-to-obtain form of this great, chlorophyll-rich
natural resource. Virtually all health food stores, and now supermarkets,
carry these supplements. Pines brand seems the most readily available,
and after a bit of research, I've concluded that they use the best (controlled)
plant stock, and have the most rigorous quality control of their products.
My diet was deficient in green, leafy vegetables, and I tended to avoid
salads because they exacerbated my chronic, unrelenting diarrhea.
Although the wheat grass tablets didn't totally kill the diarrhea, I felt
they definitely contributed to my overall wellness from a perspective of
balance. Other changes were subtle, but I believe that the intensity and
severity of my headaches diminished, and my night sweats changed (the strong
acrid stench lessened, and there was less staining of my sheets and clothing).
Again, these changes were modest, but they provided a definite benefit
for little cost.

The balance remains under construction for the moment.
